May I introduce you to Baby Walker. This little guy is as cute as a button and presented here are
images from his newborn session.
Newborn sessions are unique and require special considerations. They are longer than other baby
portrait sessions and require patience to allow for what is most important in the life of a brand
new little human....lots of breaks to rest, eat, pee and poop.
Walker was so alert the entire session even though I tried every trick I know of to get him to sleep.
He really wanted to know what was going on!
I love it when baby looks up lovingly into the face of mum and dad.
When I photograph a newborn with mom and dad I really prefer the diaper to be off, but I leave
the final decision to the parents. It depends on whether they are ok with being soiled on. It's
inevitable...it WILL happen if the diaper comes off. I've been soiled on plenty! But I believe it is
worth it. Photographing a newborn with clothes distracts from the purity, and delicate features
of that wee little person. It's important to me as an artist to make sure I show the sweetness and
preciousness of new life when I am fortunate enough to work with a newborn.
