Are you ready for some cuteness coming your way today? Well get ready! You may recall that back in October I posted images of a baby being born. Well here is that baby, Eli, again now a happy, healthy 6 month old. These images were taken in April so now he is already nearly 9 months old! Time flies doesn't it?
Just look at those cute little bottom teeth poking up just over his lip.
For this session I met the family at Horton's Iris Farm in Loomis. The Horton Family is so wonderful to work with and I am thankful that they rent out their place to photographers. The irises weren't blooming at the time but we found a terrific little patch of poppies.
You can see in these images what a happy, smiley baby Eli is. I asked his mother to send me a few words to describe what life is like with Eli and what she loves best about him at this age. Here is what she wrote:
"It's amazing to watch Eli grow everyday! In just two weeks he has gone from crawling to pulling himself up and now finding his voice and trying to say words. It's funny now that he has found his voice we will be in a restaurant or grocery store and out of nowhere he will start yelling or "baby talking" really loud and I have to tell him "shhh!" He is such a happy baby. I love hearing his belly laugh when we play peek a boo with him, he thinks that is the funniest game ever. I definitely am cherishing and enjoying every moment with this amazing little guys because he is growing up so fast. We have so much fun with him and love every moment with him"
Just look at those curious and sparly eyes. I just want to kiss him on those cute little cheeks!
Before Eli was born I did a portrait with this family with them sitting on a tractor that belonged to her parents. I thought it fitting that we found this old truck for this session!
So far I have photographed this couple's engagement, wedding, a family portrait with all their dogs, maternity, Eli's birth, and two sessions as part of Eli's 1st Year Baby Plan Package. I LOVE LOVE LOVE this family and am so proud to be the official documentarian for the big stages in their life. To be there as a family grows and changes, and to know that it is my duty to catch moments in time for them that can never ever be repeated is the greatest joy of my chosen career.
