He started as a twinkle in his parent's eyes.
Mom and dad couldn't wait to meet him. And neither could I!
Mom found this fun ribbon idea on Pinterest.
Then on the first stormy day of the season, this little bit of sunshine came into the world.
I was crying along with everyone else in the room when Eli made his debut.Birth is truly an amazing, miraculous, and holy event. I honestly don't have the vocabulary to adequately describe what I witnessed this day in October.
It was so delightful to witness some of Eli's firsts....first breath, first bath (which he didn't like), first swaddling, first snuggles. He was of course happiest when snuggling with mom, dad and his other loving family memberswho were there to see him for the first time.
In the middle of the chaos that a newborn baby brings to one's daily life, mom said something that has really
stuck with me. She said that she never knew that she could love any being so much as she does this baby. Eli
is loved beyond measure, and is so blessed to have been born to two AMAZING parents.
Eli has changed so much from when he was born to when these newborn portraits were taken only a few
weeks later. I can't wait to see how much he has changed when I come back for his 6 month portraits! I
wonder when he'll start recognizing me as his official paprazzi? :-)
In anticipation of Christmas we had some fun with props. You can't tell from these images, but he really did
not want to go to sleep for me even though I pulled out all the tricks I had up my sleeve. But that's a-ok. I
work WITH whatever babies give me.
I hope you have enjoyed looking at a sampling of Eli's first portraits as much as I had creating them!
Have a blessed rest of your week everyone!
